Building on the RCRC Youth Engagement Study published in 2022, the overall aim of this survey is to map the implementation of the commitments in the domain of youth engagement as stipulated by the IFRC Youth Engagement Strategy (2013) and IFRC Youth Policy (2017).
As per usual, a Global RCRC Youth Engagement Report on the status of youth engagement will be published based on the findings of this study and the key findings will be presented at the General Assembly 2024. Deadline for completing the survey is 01/04/2024.
Audience of this survey:
This survey is to be filled by those who have excellent understanding of the youth engagement in National Societies, primarily youth and volunteering focal points at NSs.
Instructions:
  • Please ensure that only one completed survey is submitted on behalf of one National Society. We highly recommend reading the IFRC YES and Youth Policy before completing the survey.

  • Estimated time needed to complete this survey 30-40 minutes. Please note that there is no time limit for completion of the survey, so you can take your time to find information needed but you must complete the survey in one session. Once you close the survey, all your information will be lost.
  • Questions in this survey were formulated to reflect diversity of realities of youth engagement in 191 National Societies.
  • Please note that you will be able to input your specific suggestions and comments at the end of the survey.
  • In this survey, the terms “youth” and “young people” cover children, adolescents, and young adults (from 5 to 30 years of age). Please, use the glossary of the IFRC Youth Engagement Strategy, if having difficulty to understand any terms in this survey. In this survey, the term “Youth as beneficiaries” is replaced by “Youth as members of affected communities”.
